We are currently seeking a CPA or CPA Candidate with a minimum of 2 exam passed to join our team.

Our Litigation Services and IRS Representation practices are growing and we are looking for someone with a desire to focus on these two practice areas.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Research a variety of materials for use in the resolution of legal disputes
  • Responding and managing IRS matters including negotiations for penalty relief, preparation of various written correspondence with clients and various tax authorities
  • Preparation and review of federal and state income taxes for individuals and businesses and consulting services

Skills/Knowledge

  • Licensed CPA or CPA candidate with a minimum of 2 exams passed
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and “critical thinking” skills
  • Solid technical knowledge and research skills
  • Proficient computer skills are essential. MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience in QuickBooks® and accounting software preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects
  • Must be able to work independently as well as a team
  • Ability to handle pressure in a positive professional manner

We are looking for a career, long-term Tax Administrative Assistant. This position allows for Summer and Winter breaks off with the kids! The position will be 20-25 hours per week in the months of January through June 15th and September 5th (day after Labor Day) through December 15th. Additional hours available January – April and covering Summer vacations, but not required.

The qualified candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented with excellent office and PC skills, including advanced Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities include client communication, scheduling, transcription, back-up receptionist for 10 line phones, filing and document assembly, litigation and providing support to professionals. Initiative and positive attitude a must while completing projects and recurring tasks under pressure.

Candidate should have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, ability to multi-task effectively and work independently and as part of a team. Qualified candidate will have the ability to meet tight deadlines, manage competing priorities and time effectively, have strong organizational and problem solving skills and a strong commitment to excellence.

Five years minimum continuous work history as an administrative assistant is a must. Background check and skills test required. Must have a valid Washington State driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and review of federal and state income taxes for individuals and businesses and consulting services
  • Preparation of various written correspondence with clients and various tax authorities
  • Assist higher level personnel to plan and coordinate all types of tax and A&A engagements
  • Preparation of financial statements and the ability to apply accounting principles to engagement circumstances and gain knowledge for the efficient supervision of audit engagements, provide field and final review of workpapers
  • Ability to train, supervise, review and evaluate other team member’s work
  • Begin developing skills to attract and retain new clients
