Elly was born in Port Angeles, Washington, graduated from Port Angeles High School and attended Peninsula College in Port Angeles. She moved to Wenatchee in 1987 and worked at the Red Lion as Banquet Manager for 3 years, then at Wells and Wade for 5 years as Retail Secretary. Elly obtained her real estate license in 1995 from Wenatchee Valley College and worked for Larry Heins Real Estate, before joining Cordell, Neher and Company in 1996. Elly specializes in the operation of TABS software, account collection, public relations and office organization.
